The Village Clerk handles many aspects of Village business. Vital records, which include Birth and Death Records, for both the Village of Cooperstown and the Town of Otsego are on file with the Village Clerk.
Accessing birth, death and paternity records require an application, appropriate identification and search fee. These records may be obtained by mail or in person. These records are not public and cannot be accessed unless the applicant has legal right to them.
