Due to an executive order issued by Governor Cuomo last evening, March 16, Village Elections throughout the State including the Village of Cooperstown election scheduled to occur on Wednesday, March 18 are postponed until April 28, Primary Election Day in New York State.
Further announcements regarding the Village of Cooperstown election will be made as details are clarified.
It is expected that the date to accept absentee ballots will be extended due to the change in election date. Due to closure of the Village Office through March 31, 2020 except by appointment, applications can be downloaded by clicking on the link on the home page for “Absentee Ballot Applications.”
Positions up for election this year are Mayor (2 year term) and two Village Trustee positions (3 year term each).
