For the Board of Trustees meeting and Public Hearings scheduled for Monday March 23, 2020, The Village of Cooperstown is taking the following actions.
The meeting will take place in the 2nd floor Ballroom at Village Hall, 22 Main Street, at 6:30 pm with the previously advertised and announced Public Hearings opened at 7 pm. This change in meeting space to the Ballroom will permit the necessary 6’ minimum separation of elected officials and appointed officials. All non-essential staff will not be present at the meeting.
Members of the public are strongly encouraged to submit any Public Hearing comments via email to the Village Administrator, Teri Barown at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The public hearings with specifics are noted on the Village’s website. Proposed Local Law No. 2 of 2020 would change the zoning designation on a Walnut Street parcel from commercial to residential, as well as change portions of parcels on Linden Avenue from commercial to residential. Proposed Local Law No. 3 of 2020 would amend Vehicle and Traffic Regulations to reflect stop signs which are omitted from current regulations.
The Village is also working quickly to purchase and install the necessary equipment for online broadcast of the meeting. However that may not be in place by Monday evening.
Those with questions or concerns should contact the Village Office at 547 2411.
