Summer Park Info – Updated July 28, 2020
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions, Village beaches at Three Mile Point and Fairy Springs will remain closed for the 2020 season.
The restrictions included in the State Guidance include recommendation of separate entrance and exit points for circulation, strict enforcement by all staff of social distancing of 6 feet or more and wearing of masks by visitors and employees if a 6 foot social distance cannot be maintained, daily cleaning of high traffic areas three times per day, daily screening of all park staff, and providing structural separation between visitors entering the park and staff.
The public is welcome to enjoy the grassy areas of the park while maintaining social distancing. Limited picnic tables will be made available as distancing allows at both parks. Pavilions and beach areas will remain closed through this season. A reminder that swimming is not allowed at either beach this season as lifeguards will not be on site.
During this difficult time, the primary goal is to protect the public’s health and safety. This was a difficult decision for the Village to make and acknowledge the disappointment it has caused. We know how much our local residents look forward to the enjoyment of the beaches and swimming areas at both of our parks during the summer months. We very much appreciate everyone’s understanding of the difficulties faced this year, and now look forward to the re-opening of our summer beaches in 2021.
