The Village Police Department is located at 22 Main Street in the basement of the Village Library and may be accessed from the Fair Street entrance.

In an emergency please dial 911 as we do not always have an officer available at the office.  To reach the Village Police Department for non-emergency matters please call them at (607) 547-2500.

On June 12, 2020, Gov. Cuomo issued Executive Order no. 203, entitled New York State Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative. Each local government entity which has a police agency must form a Community Advisory Board and undertake a comprehensive review of policies and practices. You will find information on the Village of Cooperstown’s Community Advisory Board (CAB) and materials being reviewed below.
